Integrative Oncology

Patients who receive integrative treatments have been found to have fewer side effects, better response to conventional cancer treatment and better overall survival than those who do either form of treatment alone. We provide individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for each patient, working along with his/her medical oncologist.

Our goal is to improve patient's overall health and well-being. Our doctors work to identify risk factors that facilitate cancer growth and correct them in order to reduce the likelihood of recurrence or progression.

  1. Enhance the effectiveness and reduce the side effects of conventional cancer treatment
  2. Support immune function
  3. Improve overall health
  4. Use natural tumor inhibiting herbs or vitamins
  5. Reduce risk of recurrence after completion of treatment
  6. Cancer screening & prevention (especially for patients who have a strong family history of cancer)

Integrative Medicine, as defined by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), a component of the National Institutes of Health(NIH), is "combining conventional medicine with CAM for which there is some high-quality evidence of safety and effectiveness." Integrative Medicine can be the most helpful approach for our patients with cancer.
